We didn´t do much for the last ten days... We arrived in Santiago last Saturday and were very well received by Marcella! So, we partied a lot, went sightseeing in Valparaiso and ate well... Restaurants, parillas, ceviches, yummy! We also went to a french restaurant: duck with olives, bourguignon beef, creme brulee and frangipane. Amazing!
Ah we also experienced our first tremors in Valparaiso: 5.2 on Richter scale. Steph felt much more tremors than I did, proving that women are more sensitive than men ;-) Looking at the hotel where we were staying we needed to have faith. But it was built in 1890 and is still there!
Valparaiso does not look like any other place in Chile, it is more chaotic, colored and lively. And people try to rip you off everywhere (taxi, restaurant...)!
Santiago has really nice areas and it is enjoyable to be there.
After a bit more than 3 months it is eventually the end of our travel in South America. We are a bit sad but at the same time eager to discover new things!
Next message from New Zealand!!!
